Music with a Mission features Grove UMC Youth Choir

On Thursday evening, June 26th, Music with a Mission will welcome the Grove United Methodist Church Youth Choir as they pass through Windham on their summer tour in New England.  This group, from West Chester, PA, has performed here twice before, and is made up of 20 students in grades seven through twelve.  They will perform a concert of sacred classical, gospel, contemporary Christian and world music.  The choir is accompanied by a talented praise band including a mix of adult and student musicians.

“We are delighted to welcome the Grove Youth Choir back to Windham and the Music with a Mission concert series,” stated Dr. Rick Nickerson, Minister of Music for NWUC.  “We have hosted these kids twice before in recent years and they put on a fun, high energy show as they praise God through a wide variety of musical styles.”  This summer marks the fifteenth extended tour for the Grove Youth Choir.  This year they are spending time in Connecticut, New Hampshire anan Maine.  During their tour, the choir will stay with numerous host families and be involved leading songs at various nursing homes and churches.  Please help us show a warm Windham welcome to these touring students for this special Thursday evening concert!”

Although the concert is free, the mission suggests a donation of $5 – all ages are welcome.  The box office opens at 6:15 p.m. and the doors will open at 6:30 p.m.  The North Windham Union Church is located at 723 Roosevelt Trail in Windham.  For more information please call 892-7149 or email MWAMconcerts@gmail.com.
