Student of the week - Hunter Simpsom - Raymond Elementary School



Nine-year-old Hunter Simpsom is The Windham Eagle’s first student of the week for the 2015-2016 school year. Hunter attends Raymond Elementary School where his teacher is Mrs. Potter. He is in the fourth grade and his most successful class is computer class. 

Hunter lives wi3th his dad Josh Simpsom, his mom Ashlee Johnson and one dog and two cats.
Mrs. Hutchinson, Assistant Principal and Mrs. Potter, classroom teacher, selected Hunter for student of the week. “Hunter has had an excellent start to his fourth grade year. He is responsible and a wonderful role model for the younger students. He is a focused eager learner.”

Hunter hopes to attend West Point for college. His mom and dad have been the most helpful in his education so far. And school is the most important thing in his life right now. “It’s fun and helps me learn,” Hunter said. He also likes learning with friends, that makes it fun. 

In his free time he plays Minecraft, has campfires and plays with his friends.

Hobbies and extracurricular activities: Soccer and basketball
