Windham High Science Bowl team selected for sportsmanship award

Windham High School Science Bowl teams competed at the Northern New England Regional Science Bowl Competition at USM in Gorham on Saturday, February 27. The competition consisted of 22 teams from 13 schools each taking part in six head-to-head matches, followed by tie breaker rounds, semifinals and finals. The two Windham teams had strong performances, beating teams from Falmouth, Cape Elizabeth, Waynflete, MCI and Bangor. The other Bangor team went on to win the competition, which sends them to the national competition in Washington, D.C. at the end of April. Additionally, one team is selected for the Larry Gray Sportsmanship Award, and this year the award went to Windham High School.
