The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) will hold a free
special event for all Veterans and their families on Saturday, June 3 between
noon and 4 p.m. at the Windham Veterans Center, located behind Hannaford
at 35 Veterans Memorial Drive.
There will be games, free food for all,
entertainment and a live drawing for a special prize. In addition to all
the fun, there will be a mobile Veterans Information truck with information on
any questions you might have. Also, inside there will be tables set up with
experts available to help answer questions you have regarding health care, pay,
retirement, I.D. card information, separation, referrals and more.
The VFW boasts, "no one does more for
veterans", and this event gives the organization a chance to prove it.
Come alone or with the entire family, but don't miss this chance.
