Raymond Village Community Church invites community to the 11th Annual Family Candlelight Christmas Pageant

For 11 years, Raymond Village Community Church UCC (RVCC) has offered a family candlelight Christmas Pageant that delights both young and old. This year’s pageant, on Sunday, December 24 at 5 p.m., features 16 preschool to high school-age youth from Raymond, Windham and other area towns (plus a couple of adult narrators, the Church Choir, and a youth soloist) re-enacting the age-old story of the birth of Jesus Christ.

There is nothing formal about the pageant. Families are invited to “come as you are.” The atmosphere is warm, informal and comfortable. The pageant will be full of candles, colors, costume and beloved old Christmas carols.

“Our pageant is full of light, color, and song and is brief enough for even the most fidgety little child,” said Rev. Nancy Foran, RVCC Pastor.  “Christmas is a beloved season, but kids today are losing touch with how Christmas came to be. Our pageant is a way for parents to connect their kids with the real meaning of the Season.”

The pageant will take place in the sanctuary of the Church, 27 Main Street in Raymond Center (just off Rte. 302), and will last approximately 45 minutes.
