Rachel Boucher is The Windham Eagle’s student of the week. The
17-year-old attends the REAL School on Mackworth Island. As a senior, her
future plans include early childhood education. Her favorite subject is
English.
“When I grow up I want to live a happy life and have a good
career,” Boucher said. “Education is important because it allows you to better
yourself. When I’m not in school, I’m with my family,” she said.
Her teacher had this to say about Boucher. “Rachel has
been an active participant in the classroom. She works well independently, too,
fully engaged in her learning. She is bright and compassionate and adds to the
spirit of the REAL School. Recently, she found an internship that will allow
her to explore a career in early childhood education. She has been a quiet, yet
strong advocate for herself and others.”
