The
Windham Eagle student of the week is Oliver Backman, seventh grader from
Jordan-Small Middle School. His favorite subject is math and when he grows up
he’d like to be an engineer for NASA.
“Mrs.
Hackett had this to say about Oliver: ‘Oliver is creative, talented, and
focused in art. He is always challenging himself and works diligently until he
is proud of his completed piece of art.
Oliver is always willing and eager to help others in the art room.’”
“Mrs.
Riley added that Ollie is always looking to do his very best in class. When presented with challenges, he rises to
the occasion. Ollie is kind and
respectful to his classmates and teachers.”
Oliver
feels that “Education is important because all the jobs I want to be involve
education. I like school because it gives me something to do for 8 hours,” he
said. Oliver also likes to work on the computer and play sports.
Oliver
is the son of Lisa and Jim. He has a brother, Walter, and a pet named Colt.
