Third-grader Delana Perkins is The Windham Eagle student of
the week. This 8-year-old is in Beth Earle’s class at Windham Primary School
and plans to go to fashion school. She lives with her mom and dad and two
brothers, Dillon and Devin and a Beta fish, Bob.
When she’s not in school she’s working on art, which she
also said was one of her hobbies, the other being fashion designing. She wants
to be a fashion designer when she grows up.
Education is important to Perkins because “when you grow up
you have to know how to read and do math, so that you know all that stuff,” she
said.
Her teacher had this to say about her, “Delana always
displays the characteristics of our 3 B Student. She was chosen as my 3 B
student this week. She is very kind to her classmates and is very helpful to
me. At the end of the day she is always looking for extra jobs to do to keep
our classroom in order. Delana is also a very hard working student. She is
always looking for ways to improve her work!”
