On Saturday, January 11, at 7 p.m, Ithacappella will perform a concert at the North Windham Union Church. Ithacappella, from Ithaca College in New York, is one of the premier male collegiate a cappella groups in the country, singing everything from traditional barbershop tunes to current radio hits. This is the second year that the group will perform in Windham as part of their winter tour. Special guests for this concert will be the Windham Chamber Singers.
This concert is the
tenth in the Music with a Mission series sponsored by the North Windham
Union Church. The church has donated a portion of the proceeds to area
non-profits. So far, the Music with a Mission concerts have provided
almost $8,000 in support of NWUC and direct gifts to local non-profits. Since
this is a special edition concert welcoming back a touring college choir, the
proceeds of this show will be split between Ithacappella and the North Windham
Union Church.
Tickets are $5 for all
and will be sold at the door. The box office opens at 6:15 p.m. and the doors
will open at 6:30 p.m. The North Windham Union Church is located at 723
Roosevelt Trail in Windham. For more information, call 892-7149 or email

“We are delighted to
welcome back Ithacappella, who put on a fabulous show at NWUC last January to a
nearly full house,” said Richard Nickerson, director of the Windham Chamber
Singers. “It was the success of that show that inspired the concept for the
whole Music with a Mission concert series.”
Ithacapella puts on a
very high energy show that is fun for the whole family. The current president
of the group is Windham’s own Chris Frost, who is proud to bring them back to
his hometown for the second time. As a special treat this year, the Windham
Chamber Singers will open the show with a few numbers. This concert will
certainly be a big hit!
