RSU14 shines at art show - By Anne Libby

For weeks the RSU14 art department has been gearing up for the pinnacle part of the year for those involved in the art community, the RSU14 Art Show. As an art student the show represents success and ability. Every Windham and Raymond school has input into the show, whether in kindergarten or a senior in high school most students have at least one piece on the walls or ceiling of Windham High School for a week. This year the art show opened on May 5th, and along with the Windham Chamber Singers, there was a Cinco de Mayo parade put on by the fifth-grade REACH art program, and performances by the third grade chorus and the middle school chorus. The district came together to present all forms of art.

The middle school was well represented in the bright colors that filled the halls, and the high school had a few of the art students doing live presentations, sculpting, painting and drawing in the entrance to the building. There is even a section of Windham Adult Education art. A large number of the community came to show their support for the art community in Windham. The show ended on Friday.
