The
Windham Eagle student of the week is Whitney Wilson, 14, who attends
Jordan-Small Middle School. The eighth graders said her favorite subjects are
science and social studies. Her favorite book is The Hunger Games. She enjoys
hiking, sports and fishing.
“Whitney
has a smile on her face, is cooperative and a model student. She has a great sense of humor and gets some
of Mr. Powers’ jokes when no one else does!
She sets a good example for her peers and is a support to them in class. One of her peers commented, ‘She (Whitney) is
really nice and she can bring you up when you are down’,” said the teacher
team.
When
Whitney grows up she would like to be in the medical field. “Education is
important because it will help me achieve my goals for the future,” she said.
When she’s not in school she’s “playing field hockey, softball and basketball.”
She
lives with her mom Julie, her dad Jeremy, sister Ellie and her dog.
