Raymond Village
Library announces construction and challenge grant
The
Raymond Village Library is excited to announce a new
work space and circulation desk.
An anonymous donor
has provided the funds to reorganize our office space and create a new
circulation desk. This donation is being made in memory of a family that has
been part of the Raymond Community for over 50 years.
The circulation desk
will be custom built into two sections to improve patron service. The walls
on either side of the current office door will be removed; new, open
workspaces and storage cabinetry will be installed.
Another change is
planned to improve computer workstations. New computer wiring will be run to
provide computer access in the new children's space. This change will add a
quieter workspace for our adult patrons.
Renovations will
begin in February! We will keep you updated as we move forward and will
be providing you with more information on our donor family and
construction partners.

RAYMOND
VILLAGE LIBRARY Challenge Grant
The
library’s current restroom requires renovation. Due the generosity of
another anonymous donor, a $2000 challenge grant has been made available to
assist us in fixing this issue.
Simply
put, our donor will match dollar for dollar your donations up to $2000.
You donate $100, the grant matches it with $100.
By
working together to meet this challenge, we will be able to provide an
accessible facility for our patrons.
Sound
too good to be true? There is a catch! If we do not raise the $2000 to meet the
challenge, we do not receive any funds. The challenge grant is exactly that: a challenge to our library community to pull
together to accomplish this goal.
This
Challenge grant will not pay for the entire project but it will make a great
start.
