Student of the week - Alex Potter

The Windham Eagle student of the week is Jordan-Small Middle School sixth grader Alex Potter. His favorite subject is Math. Alex would like to be an inventor. He enjoys biking and using his computer when he’s not in school.

“Al is a model student. He is in advanced math and English/language arts classes.  He excels in the world of technology.  He has his own website and is a master at computer skills.  He owns a green screen and professional microphone which allows him to create top-shelf web entries! Al is a delight to have in the classroom.  He is selfless, focused, insightful, and patient.  Every project and product that Al submits is top-shelf.  He pushes himself to do his best every day.   He looks for opportunities to learn above and beyond the standards.  His creative mind and keen sense of humor consistently shine through his work,” said the staff at JSMS.

Alex is a fan of Weird Al Yankovic. He is also in Boy Scouts.

“Al's friends have characterized him to be honest, loyal, and kind.  If he notices that a person is having a rough day, he extends himself to help lighten their spirits.  On the playground, Al likes to play team sports and makes sure the rules are fair and followed.”

Alex is the son of Jene and Troy. He has a sister, Sophey and two hermit crabs, Hermy and Herald.
