Public Safety Announcement from the Windham Police Department for Maine Maple Sunday

Attention: Chute Road area residents - Maine Maple Sunday is March 25, 2018.

By order of Police Chief Kevin Schofield, this Sunday March 25, 2018, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. - All vehicle traffic on Chute Road will operate in only one direction. You must enter Chute Road from River Road and exit via the Webb Rd/ Montgomery Rd. intersection.

This decision was made to better facilitate the flow of heavy traffic that occurs during the Maine Maple Sunday event and to allow a safer means of getting emergency vehicles into the area if they are needed.

We are asking residents of Chute Road and the side streets off this section of Chute Road, to be prepared to enter and exit this area between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. using this one-way traffic flow pattern.
Nash Road residents will also see an increase in traffic flow during these times, but at this time there will not be a traffic flow change.

For more information, please contact the Windham Police Department at 207-892-1919 ext. 4209 or email Captain Andrew at wtandrew@windhammaine.us.
