Windham High School graduate Molly Olsen recently graduated magma cum laude from the University of Maine at Farmington, where she majored in secondary education and minored in special education. Due to the addition of a minor her sophomore year, and the scheduling changes which came with it, she will be beginning her student teaching in Gorham this coming fall.
On June 2nd, she completed the Maine NEW
Leadership program in conjunction with the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center,
where she had an intensive week of networking with, and learning from,
political figures all over Maine. She also recently spoke on an academic panel
about gender and memory at Keene State's "36th Annual Medieval &
Renaissance Forum."
This summer she will be working at
Schoolhouse Arts putting up a show a week with their theater education program,
as well as working with the young adult theater troop there called "Black
Box Teens."
