First
responders are the first people called into action when public safety is
threatened, especially
during catastrophic events. State Farm and Canary recognize
the safety of their families is a significant concern for first
responders.
To
show our appreciation, State Farm and Canary created the Protect the Protectors campaign. The goal is to provide
access to technology for these dedicated public servants to stay connected
while they are protecting their local communities. Since the launch of the
campaign in December 2015, nearly 20,000 Canary home monitoring devices have
been donated by State Farm and Canary to first responders across the country.
State
Farm Agent Tricia Zwirner will present the Windham Police and Fire Departments
with 133 innovative Canary home monitoring devices during
Public Safety Day.
The
device alerts the user to monitor motion, air quality and temperature changes
through the use of an app.
