Photographs
by Mary T. Weston, local artist from the Presumpscot River Studios, are on
display at the Windham Public Library, 217 Windham Center Road, now through
January 31st. Mary lives on the Presumpscot River in Windham and focuses much
of her photography and other artwork on the nature around her home.
"I've
moved to a small house with a studio beside the Presumpscot... I've downsized
my possessions and my psyche. I want less clutter, less mental noise, more
solitude. Maybe all I need now are the people I love, and the nature right
outside my back door." For more information about Mary and samples of her
work, go to www.presumpscotriverstudios.com.
Colorful
coffee mugs from the collection of Jen Alvino will be on exhibit through
January 31st. Nearly two dozen mugs from across the US - from New Hampshire to
California - are displayed, showing a variety of sizes, shapes and colors.
"It’s
a great way to be reminded of the trips I’ve taken and the memories I created,"
said Jen. "They all have a story and just when I think I have enough I
find another that I just have to have!" Stop by the library for a look at
this interesting collection. Visit us online at www.windham.lib.me.us/exhibits for more
information or call the library for hours or for directions 892-1908.
