Contestants eager to shine at the 2nd annual lake Region's got Talent

The 2nd annual Lake Region’s Got Talent features contestants eager to showcase their abilities on the stage at the Magic Lantern, 9 Depot Street in Bridgton, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on two consecutive Sundays. Following a series of auditions, some amazing acts from around the region were chosen to move on to the quarterfinals. Selected participants, including solo performing artists, as well a magician, band, and dance troupe, will perform before the judges and audience.

On January 11, come watch Bailey Nassa and Mackenzie Gifford--lyrical dance; Kara Moxcey--song; Madison Martin--magic show; Abbie Vaughn--song; Dani Gordon and Shawna Silke--duet; Sara Carlson and Mallory Strain--song with piano accompaniment; Julia Distefano--song; and Christian Martin--guitar.
Performing on January 18 will be Morgan Lamontagne (vocals), Reed Bridge-Koenigsberg (percussion), Matthew Buchanan (guitar), Anthony Champoli (guitar) and Galen McLaughlin (bass)--band called It Doesn’t Matter; Mercedes Martin--song; Gracie Vaughn--song; Emilie Camous--song; Jenna Moxcey--violin; Quynh Nguyen and Carly Dyer--duet; Briley Graves--song; and Liza Collins-Schrader, Laura Taylor and Kristen Farwell--contemporary dance.

All are vying for the chance to win over a thousand dollars in cash and prizes. All shows are open to the public and tickets will be sold at the door. Ticket prices for the quarterfinals are the following: Ages 6 and up/$5; ages 5 and under/free. Audience members may also purchase 50/50 raffle tickets. 

A Semi-Final performance will be held on January 25, and the final competition will occur on February 8. Judges and the audience will decide the final outcome.
