This
week’s student of the week is Sorcha Salom a seventh grader from Jordan-Small
Middle School. Sorcha enjoys photography, singing, drawing and playing violin.
When
Sorcha grows up she would like to become an actress or a voice actor. She feels
education is important “because it teaches kids how to make the right decisions
in life.”
“Sorcha
Salom stands out as an individual—not an easy thing to do when you’re in middle
school. She has a unique style and way of thinking; she also has a refreshing
perspective. A perspective that is both reflective and inquisitive. A global
thinker, Sorcha always considers the big picture
and always looks to
the world beyond when formulating thoughts. She is openminded in a way that
allows her opinions to flex with new knowledge, and when she applies this
knowledge… wow,” said the
teachers at JSMS.
Sorcha
is the child of Brooke Hebert and Shawn Hebert. She has four siblings, Chloe
Salom, Augie Salom, Griffin Hebert and Stuart Salom. She also has three pets
Hansel, Gretel and Harry Potter.
