Elizabeth Gurney is a fifth grader at Jordon Small Middle
School and is The Windham Eagle’s Student of the Week. The 11 year-old enjoys playing
basketball and softball; loves hanging out with her family and friends as well
her dog, May.
“Elizabeth Gurney is a quiet and radiant fifth grade
student,” stated her teacher. “The first thing you notice about "ZZ"
(her nickname) is her smiling, warm eyes. One reason Elizabeth is a
natural choice for student of the month is because she possesses an amazing
open mindset. She works overtime at school and is a dedicated
student. She willingly accepts help when she needs it. When faced
with a challenge, ZZ faces it with a tiger-like attitude. If asked, Elizabeth's
friends would say that she is loyal and true.”
In her free time, you can find Gurney running, dancing
and riding horses. She lives with her mother, father, one brother and, of
course - her dog May.
